As the sole designer at Moxie Tuesday, Jana Neil strives to create designs that have a strong concept developed through research and discovery with the intent to educate the end-user. She enjoys working alongside clients, helping their ideas come to fruition and working to create designs that extend their brand message. Jana believes that we have the power to make decisions that will change and preserve the world in which we live. Standing by this belief she works with clients to find environmentally-friendly options appropriate for their projects.  Jana enjoys working with like-minded clients, who have a passion for what they do. Believing in her passion for design led her to take the leap into becoming a business owner. It was upon this belief that the name Moxie Tuesday Design originated. “Moxie” meaning to overcome obstacles with courage, and “Tuesday” being the day when she took the leap.  The Designer Jana started her journey through graphic design on Vancouver Island while attending the University of Vancouver Island and then completed her degree at Kwantlen Polytechnic University receiving her Bachelor of Applied Design in Graphic Design for Marketing. Over the past few years she worked for a boutique design studio in Vancouver honing her skills and gaining experience as the Lead Designer and Project Manager. Her time at that studio allowed her to work on a variety of projects including branding, print, environmental, and web design for clients within the Resource, Government, Corporate, Health, Tech, Architecture, Retail, and Fashion industry. Jana thrives on having a balance between creative outlets and obsessionally organized tasks. The appeal of design is that she can problem solve and create an aesthetically pleasing piece at the same time. To her, design is the perfect balance between being creative and analytical. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Jana’s love of nature strongly influences her design aesthetic and reinforces her dedication to the environment. While she draws inspiration from the world around her, she is also intrigued with the past.
